Pilates is a form of low-impact exercises that aim to strengthen muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility. The exercises target the core muscles as the “powerhouse” of the work, but is efficent as a whole body workout by educating students how to use the body as a functional system rather than separate parts. Pilates can be done with or without equipment and involves slow precise movements that are conected to the breath.
Currently I am teaching the following Pilates classes at two different studios in Modena, Italy.
MAT CLASSES
Mixed level group classes that help build stability and muscle tone by using your own body weight
A small group of 2 or 3 people that use all of the Pilates apparatus in the comfort of an independent studio. The class is organized in a circuit so that each person has the opportunity to work on each piece of equipment as well as creating a dynamic connection and energy in the room.
A 1:1 lesson that is done in a private studio. The lesson is catered to your specific needs and goals. The private studio is perfect for people that are just starting Pilates, pregnant, working with an injury or wanting to deepen their practice.
